2012 Season Schedule:
Barefoot in the Park March 23 – 25, 2012
"Barefoot in the Park," by Neil Simon, was nominated for 3 Tony awards, and was Simon's longest running Broadway hit. It's a light, frothy comedy focusing on newlyweds Corie and Paul and their adventures living in a minuscule, 6th-floor walk-up apartment in Greenwich Village. Stuffed-shirt Paul is a hard-working young attorney just starting his practice, while spontaneous bride Corie is determined to create a romantic environment in one room with no heat, a hole in the skylight, and oddball neighbors.
No Exit June 1 – 3, 2012
"No Exit," by Jean-Paul Sartre, is a brilliant examination of the human condition and one of the greatest plays of the 20th century. It observes the interactions of three strangers who have been brought together in a hotel room for purposes that seem random at first, but become increasingly sinister. The three characters have just died and are now locked in a room together for eternity. Each was specifically chosen as the perfect person to drive the other two mad. This classic play is the origin of Sartre's most famous quotation, "Hell is other people."
Half Light Concert Series: Spotlight on Elton John July 13 – 15, 2012
The Half Light Concert Series devoted to great composers and songwriters continues with "Spotlight on Elton John." Join us for a cabaret-style performance of songs by one of the most successful artists in pop music history.
Dracula, the Musical November 2 – 4, 2012
"Dracula, the Musical," was composed by Frank Wildhorn, with lyrics & book by Don Black & Christopher Hampton. The classic tale of horror and romance is given a terrific musical update by Wildhorn, the composer of other Broadway hits like "Jekyll & Hyde," "The Scarlet Pimpernel," "Wonderland," and "Bonnie & Clyde." Celebrate Halloween in style!
